We have a 72-Hour Cancellation Policy. If you wish to cancel or modify a reservation, you must do so by 3 PM 72-hours or 3 days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel or modify post the expiration of the Cancellation Period or you fail to show up, a no-show charge will be levied on your credit card for one full night plus tax. Early departures are considered last-minute cancellations and are non-refundable. Holidays & special events are subject to seasonal rates. Non-refundable reservations cannot be canceled or modified - total reservation amount will be charged in case of cancellation or no-show.

We are near top attractions like the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, as well as downtown Santa Cruz.  Fantastic restaurants, bars, and live entertainment venues are minutes away.  Our location offers guests easy highway access, and we are only 28 miles from the San Jose International Airport.


The Ocean Gate Inn is pleased to offer our guests a 24-hour front desk, a multilingual staff, daily housekeeping, complimentary WiFi, complimentary self-parking, and smoking and non-smoking guest rooms. Children and Extra Beds

Children are welcome at our family-friendly hotel. Up to 3 to 12 years of age stay for free when using existing beds.  Additional children older than 12 or adults are charged UDS 20 per night when using existing beds or extra beds. Only (1) one extra bed is allowed in a room. Any extra bed is upon request and must have prior approval from the manager.


ADA Defined Service Animals are welcome at our hotel. Absolutely NO PETS ALLOWED.

This property is privately owned, and the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind. Once checked in, no cancellations. All linens are inventoried: missing or damaged linens will be charged.  Any damages to hotel property will be charged an additional fee upon assessment. If the smell of smoke is detected in a non-smoking guest room, or should anyone from your party choose to smoke or vape in a non-smoking guest room. If your reservation has been paid in advance or you elect to pay by cash, a security deposit via credit card will be required upon check-in and will be charged in the event that damages outlined herein occur. The hotel takes a credit preauthorization but does not accept cash deposits.
